Grade 6 students recently visited the Bendigo Tech School. The students had a fantastic time exploring coding and using this to control various types of robotics. They also looked into how technology is used in a variety of jobs and how quickly technology can change. The Bendigo Tech School is a centre of deep learning that uses leading-edge technology, discovery and innovation to solve real world problems. The school’s aim is to deliver advanced STEAM knowledge and skills that Victorian school students need to flourish in the rapidly changing global economy. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Tech Schools empower students with the skills required for the jobs of the future. There are co-designed and locally relevant education programs help to develop critical and creative thinking, innovation, problem solving, communication, leadership, teamwork and entrepreneurship skills. Camp Hill PS is looking forward to the continued connection with the Bendigo Tech school. Check out their website at Bendigo Tech School
