Languages Other Than English
Camp Hill Primary School students are given the opportunity to learn Bahasa Indonesia though the Languages program. The study of Indonesian begins in grade Prep and continues through to Year Six.
The goal of the Camp Hill Languages – Indonesian Program is to provide students with a range of communication and general knowledge skills through developing their understanding and awareness of another culture. The Languages – Indonesian program motivates student’s interests in an Asian country which will enrich their knowledge and respect for the different culture.
These skills are transferable and support other areas of the curriculum at Camp Hill Primary School. Learning how languages work leads to improved literacy skills, including English literacy.
