Camp Hill Primary School – Outside School Hours Care Philosophy Camp Hill OSHC aims to provide high quality care based on the children’s interests and needs. Staff have an understanding children are not all the same and each child deserves a full range of developmentally appropriate experiences, in a safe, happy, comfortable and stimulating environment created for all children to play and thrive in. The program respects the diversity of families and works in partnerships with them to provide optimum care
Hours of operation Weekdays during school terms 3.25pm – 5.55pm End of term extended hours 2.25pm – 5.55pm End of year 1.25pm – 5.55pm
Staff The OSHC service has been accredited in 2005, 2007 and now in 2009 as high quality care program. The service operates within the guidelines as a registered 55 placed service. The Co-ordinator and Assistant Co-ordinator are fully qualified. All staff have Level 2 First Aid and Working with Children Checks. Staff are in the process of obtaining Anaphylaxis certificates
Ratios 1:15 on premises 1:8 on excursions 1:5 swimming The service caters for children with special needs and works in conjunction with Noah’s Ark – Inclusion Support Agency to provide additional carers to increase the child/staff ratios
Program The program is displayed each fortnight. Staff offer children a wide range of sporting activities, arts and crafts, music and drama, computers and board games. Staff want to be able to provide children with fun and enjoyment throughout their time at OSHC The service also offers afternoon tea each day, incorporating a wide and varied healthy choice menu
Enrolments Forms can be collected from the school office or OSHC. Paper work needs to be completed and signed before the child/ren can attend. Staff must be notified of any medical conditions or allergies. All information must be completed by parents and/or a doctor if your child is at risk of anaphylaxis
Fees $12.00 per session (3.25pm – 5.55pm). Unless Child Care Benefit or JET payments apply. Pupil Free days $40.00 (8.00am – 5.55pm). The service provider number is – 555 012 188 T Family Assistance Office contact number – 136 150 Monday-Friday (8am– 8pm)
Accounts All accounts are printed fortnightly, and can be found at the sign in desk at OSHC. All monies are to be paid at the school office by cash, cheque, Eftpos or phone banking. Receipts are given once account has been paid
